I have a confession

I am in a funk today.  It stinks.  I have actually been in a funk the past couple of days.  I am not sure if it is hormonal or what, but seriously, it needs to go!  Lately, I have been the picture of positivity and possibility but not the past few days.  I am short on patience and just overall, cranky.  Blah....

So, how am I going to change this?  I am a firm believer that most things in life are mind-over-matter.  So, it's time to buck up and kick this funk to the curb.

I do have positive news to report that is beauty related (it is my obligation to mention something beauty related in this blog! =) ).  A week ago I received a new skin-care line (google: Skintelligence 5 piece kit).  It's 5 pieces in total and though that was completely daunting initially and is what kept me from trying it for, um, years, it's been totally worth it.  Every single extra milli-second that it takes me to prep my face has been time well spent.  My skin had some eczema patches (on my face, particularly).  I was using an Olay face wash and....I hate to admit this, but....Baby Lotion as a moisturizer.  Yes, and I am "in the business"...Anyway, on to the more important details- the new stuff works!  All of the dry patches are completely gone!  They were gone within 2 days (4 uses) and my skin does look smoother, more radiant and it just feels better overall.  I don't know why I am surprised- it's a line I have carried for years in my business, but, I never used it.  I can't really even say enough.  Needless to say, however, I will NOT be going back to my Olay and Baby Lotion routine!

I feel better already!  I forced myself to focus on something positive and I do feel much better now.  The other positive thing- we get our new Fridge today (I am choosing to forget that Lowe's has completely messed up the schedule of my day because of their delivery mistakes)!  I cannot wait to reorganize all of our food in a completely new and sterile(!) fridge!!!  It's the little things, people...

Oh, one more positive, exciting thing- tonight I am going to a little event called Wednesday Night Whinos.  I am so excited to get out of the house, have some good wine and food and meet some new people.  I rarely get out so this is huge for me!

After all of that, it appears there is really no need for this funk after-all.!  Enjoy today for all it has to offer!

Be well ;)
